Exhibition at Chintsa



Chintsa River Golfing Estate, situated adjacent to the Chintsa river near East London, is proud to be the sole sponsor of an Art Exhibition to benefit African Angels, a non-profit-organization operating in the East Coast Resorts Area. The Exhibition will be held at the Golfing Estate’s old Swiss Villa Farmhouse in Chintsa between 10 December 2007 and 10 January 2008 inclusive. The Exhibition will include artworks across a variety of mediums, and contributions have been sought from some of South Africa’s finest and best known artists.

Exhibiting artists include Gary Frier,Aiden Wescott, Andrew Mogridge, Tanya Poole, Nigel Mullins, Claire McNulty, Jeff Rankin, Ian Hunter, Johan Badenhorst, Brettan Ann Moolman, Peter Midlane, Lisa Van Wyk Smith, Tracy-Leigh Lawson, Tamlyn Martin, Chanelle Wolf, James Durno, Natalie Payne, Sonia Wrethman and many more.,

African Angels is a not-for-profit organisation based in the Eastern Cape, who seek, receive and distribute sponsorship for the education of disadvantaged children (the Angels) identified as needy, and unlikely to receive a continuous and good quality education unless sponsorship is received. The Exhibition will be open daily between 11am and 5pm, 10 December and 10 January, excluding Christmas Day and New Years Day. Entry to the Exhibition is free. The cafe will be open between 12noon and 4pm daily. The workshop schedule is attached to this invitation.

The opening night of the Exhibition is on Wednesday 12 December at 6pm and we would be delighted if you could attend.

The Chintsa River Golfing Estate is located in Chintsa on the Schafli Road. Travel along the N2 towards Umtata and take the Brakfontein exit / turnoff. Turn right over the N2, and travel 1km. Take the Schafli Road turnoff on your left marked with Jikeleza Route signs. The Chintsa River Golfing Estate is approximately 15 km from this point, and is 2km past the Chintsa West turn off on your right. It will be well sign posted.

Well the secrets out - this portrait was suppose to be a surprise gift to a collector from his wife - so I have'nt put it up to show the process-but since its all out in the open heres the first 5 hours work

The exhibition will consist of a whole collection of artists work. There is no particular theme, in fact it will be quite an ecclectic collection of works, a kind of celebration of art.

Hi there my first post after much procrastination but maybe its been a good thing since after coming back from a workshop in Koekenaap in the Northern Cape I feel I have an exeptional experience to share.
